Conservatory Program

The Florida Ballet Conservatory

The Florida Ballet Conservatory is a daytime training program for career track students ages 11-18.

The program provides the necessary training to transition students from the classroom to professional dancers and is geared toward developing ballet artists ready to take on the challenges of dance in the 21st century.

Enrolled students have the opportunity to work with The Florida Ballet’s artistic leaders receiving rigorous, detailed and intensive training, 5-6 days per week, in a small class setting. Academic studies are continued through online virtual or homeschool programs.

The Curriculum

The curriculum provides a comprehensive dance education focusing on classical ballet. Additional classes include pointe, partnering, classical variations, men’s technique, repertoire, modern, jazz, and conditioning. Additionally, students have opportunities to participate in Master Classes led by nationally recognized teachers and choreographers.

Performance Opportunities

Another crucial component in the overall education of our Conservatory students is dance performance. Dancers have the opportunity to dance in 3-4 major performances annually, as well as, outreach and collaborative programs presented throughout the community.

Audition is required for entrance into the program.
