Graduate Program

The Florida Ballet Graduate Program

The Florida Ballet Training Center launched the addition of a new program for dancers ages 18-22 in the 2016/17 season. The Florida Ballet Graduate Program concentrates on providing a transitional experience for students as they move from the academic ballet setting to the world of professional dance.  The Graduate Program is designed to increase the stylistic range and versatility of a dancer by exposing them to a variety of dance styles in class, rehearsals, and performances.

The Graduate Program is available for dancers ages 18-22 and admission is by audition.

Curriculum includes:

  • Ballet Technique
  • Pointe/Variations
  • Men’s Work
  • Partnering
  • Modern
  • Conditioning

In addition, enrolled students receive instructional seminars pertaining to resume building, audition photos, and the development of cover and recommendation letters. Scheduled conferences with Artistic Director, Linda Reifsnyder Jenkins,  provide support for dancers to explore avenues in the professional field of dance that fit well with their artistic and technical strengths and future goals. Experiences in related areas of the professional field such as Classroom instruction, costuming, marketing, technical support, and administrative duties are part of this program.

Students enrolled have numerous performance opportunities throughout the year including community outreach, events, and concert programs.
