OUR FACILITY
A New Home, A New Cultural Hub
The Florida Ballet moved into its new home located on Atlantic Boulevard in the Arlington neighborhood of Jacksonville in 2019. The 30,000 square foot has eight dance studios and its own Black Box Theater performance space, The Picinich-Byrd Theatre.
The facility is home to The Florida Ballet’s professional Company, Trainee, Conservatory, and Training Center Programs, as well as several other organizations creating a friendly and embracing atmosphere with focus on strengthening and promoting the arts, celebrating diversity, and enhancing the quality of life within our community.
The Picinich-Byrd Theatre
Located within The Florida Ballet facility the venue is dedicated in the memory of The Florida Ballet founders, Laurie Picinich-Byrd and Michael Byrd. The space accommodates seating for 80 audience members and is the perfect setting for intimate events and performances.
Studio Rentals
The Florida Ballet has multiple studios available for special event, meeting, and rehearsal/audition rentals. Our studios are climate controlled and equipped with sprung floors with vinyl overlay, ballet barres, mirrors, and sound systems. The spaces can be modified to host corporate events as well as private events.

Jacksonville Dance Theatre
Founded in 2012 and located in Jacksonville, Florida, Jacksonville Dance Theatre is a contemporary modern dance company dedicated to creating and promoting excellence in the field of professional dance on local, national, and international stages. JDT is committed to creative innovation and exchange through choreographic projects, concert dance performance, movement intervention outreach, and dance education.
