Under the direction of Artistic Director Roberto Forleo, The Florida Ballet offers programs designed for beginning, intermediate, and pre-professional levels.

FLB Summer Intensive Upper Division
July 3 – 29, 2023
The Florida Ballet’s Summer Intensive offers a four-week program designed for intermediate through pre-professional dancers. Designed for dancers ages 12+ (females must have a minimum of one year on pointe), the program exposes students to a variety of styles and disciplines guided by a world class faculty. Students attend daily ballet technique, pointe class, men’s class, variations class, partnering, as well as, modern, contemporary, and jazz classes.
At the conclusion of this program, students who demonstrate exceptional talent, potential and commitment, may be invited to join The Florida Ballet Conservatory Program, a rigorous year-round pre-professional training program for aspiring young dancers.
Monday – Friday: 10am – 5pm
Saturday: 10am – 1pm

FLB Summer Intensive Lower Division
July 3 – 29, 2023
The Florida Ballet’s Summer Intensive Lower Division is designed as an introduction to more intensive training dedicated to young aspiring dancers in a positive, nurturing, and professional environment. Designed for dancers ages 9+ (females with beginner pointe skills or entering pre-pointe) the program will focus on the foundation of classical ballet technique with key elements of the ABT National Training Curriculum. The students will be exposed to a variety of disciplines including modern dance, jazz, conditioning, and repertoire.
Monday – Friday: 10am – 2pm

Storybook Journeys Program
Session A: June 19-23, 2023
Session B: June 26-30, 2023
Tuition: $250
Storybook Journeys is a creative exploration of dance, music, and art for children ages 5-8. Young dancers embark on a multi-sensory tour of designated storybook themes while delving into their own creativity through the integration of dance, visual art, choreography, and music.
Introduction to ballet and creative movement allows students to build movement vocabulary, coordination, and strength. Daily crafts take students beyond the studio to create costume pieces, dance props, and other accessories that inspire artistic expression and imagination. Program meets M-F, 9 am-12 noon.

Primary Ballet (Ages 5 – 7)
June 21-July 26
Wednesday’s 9:00-10:00am
Tuition: $90
An hour-long class designed to create a foundation for proper classical ballet training. The curriculum strikes a healthy balance between structure and self-expression. Some Creative Movement techniques remain in place including improvisation, and the use of thought-provoking props. In addition, students begin to learn basic terminology and movement that will be utilized as they transition into the next level.
