The Florida Ballet Training Center is a program for the serious dance student. 

We are proud to offer the the AMERICAN BALLET THEATRE® National Training Curriculum, a breakthrough 8 level program that combines high quality artistic training with the basics of dancer health and child development. The ABT® National Training Curriculum consists of a comprehensive set of age-appropriate, outcome-based guidelines to provide the highest quality ballet training to dance students of all ages and skill levels.

Students enrolled at The Florida Ballet Training Center study dance education in a positive, nurturing atmosphere, focusing on strong technical training, balanced with proper work ethics.

Enrollment Procedures – 

Classes for the 2020/21 School Year begin on Monday, August 31, 2020. 
Enrollment is now open. Please see below for details. 

Ages 9 and Above

Potential experienced students, ages 9 and above, must audition for class placement within the program.

Class placement is based upon a combination of technical ability, previous experience, and age. Placement decisions are at the sole discretion of the Artistic Director. Please click on the contact us button below to schedule a placement audition.

Ages 5-8 and Novices

Students ages 5-8 or novice to ballet training do not require a formal audition. Please contact us for further information regarding class offerings for these ages.

Boys Program

A training program with the male dancer in mind, The Florida Ballet offers Boy’s and Men’s ballet classes of varying levels. 

The focus of these classes offers technique and movement specific to the male dancer. For the older, more advanced male dancer, partnering classes are included in the curriculum. 

Entrance into the Boy’s and Men’s classes is by audition only. 

Young Dancers

Our Primary Division for ages 3-7 offers age appropriate classes to encourage a young child’s physicality, coordination, and natural instinct to move to music.

Pre-Primary Level:

This program introduces 3-year-old students to rhythm, coordination and creative movement. 

Primary A and B Levels:

These programs create a foundation for proper classical ballet training with students ages 4-7.
